“Murals & Artworks of Ernest Zacharevic”
Commissioned by the artist Ernest Zacharevic
As part of my ongoing collaboration with Ernest Zacharevic and Cultprint, I continue to document Ernest at work, in his studio and on location. Since 2022, I have been working closely with him to record his artistic process and projects. It has been an interesting experience observing and photographing a painter’s practice up close, from the quiet focus of his studio work to the large-scale collaborative efforts of his public pieces. Being part of the crew during the restoration of several of Ernest’s notable works in Penang and Ipoh has also offered valuable insight into the care, technical challenges, and teamwork involved in preserving contemporary street art.
